Reassigned “Rubber Room” teachers called Betsy early in the morning and all hours of the night when sleeping seemed like an impossible feat. Betsy knew the teachers. She knew their pain and hurt. She felt their frustration. She guided and empowered them to help themselves. Betsy made up for the shortcomings and absence of all of the UFT reps that I have ever met. Those who allowed themselves to know her, loved her and still do. Those who doubted her sincerity were obviously afraid of her unconventional warmth and wisdom. Those who didn't know her, missed out on her natural gift for being a true PEOPLE advocate and great friend.

Betsy, you could not have described yourself better than to say you're someone "who cares about people and wants to help resolve problems." Thanks for all you do in the interest of due process, equal protection, and the Rule of Law.

Betsy is willing to be a go to person for you, if there are anyone else in a situation that you feel would require someone with years of experience in 913 and 3020A, she’s a great source and contact for us. Believe me she was like finding a needle in a haystack. I can tell you first hand that I have researched many people that claim they do this work and was very disappointed with the contacts I made. I had to fire my NYSUT attorney who only wanted to settle, and the terms made me sick. Betsy is smart, knowledgeable, and nonjudgmental regarding these cases. Dear Betsy, I just wanted to reach out and say thank you for CONSTANTLY being there for me throughout such a tumultuous time in my life.
