Parsing the Achievement Gap: Baselines for Tracking Progress

There are gaps in school achievement among racial and ethnic groups and between students from poor and non-poor families, and this report looks at conditions that help create and perpetuate achievement gaps beginning before the cradle and continuing through to graduation, if that happy outcome is obtained.
