Can a Parent Sue When His Adult Child Is Killed By the Police?

In the recent case of McCurdy v. Dodd, the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit held that the father of a nineteen-year-old child has no right to recover damages when the government violates the U.S. Constitution and thereby causes the death of that child.
